​Accessing Genealogy Records

Saskatchewan legislation determines which birth, stillbirth, marriage and death records are available to the public, and which ones are restricted.

You can search and access available records in eHealth Saskatchewan's Genealogy Index at no cost.

Or you can request a genealogical copy of the registration by applying online or by completing the appropriate Birth, Stillbirth, Marriage or Death application forms. Your request will be reviewed, if it complies with provincial legislation and policies, and the requested document is located, it will be issued to you.

Please note that the genealogical copy of a death registration does not include cause of death. Information regarding eligibility for cause of death can be found here.
