We’re aware of text messages claiming to be from the Government of Canada Health Card Service Centre. The messages claim you need to click a provided link to ensure uninterrupted access to health care. If you complete the form from the link, you will be asked to provide payment for a new card.
These text messages are a scam. There is no charge to receive a health card or update your information.
Please do not reply to the text or click on the link. If we need to contact you, it will be by phone or email – never by text message.
