Backlogs in transcription services has contributed to the delays in getting important clinical information in to the hands of health care providers causing delays in patient care.
3S Health along with other health system partners are implementing a new voice recognition dictation system called M*Modal. The new system fully integrates with provincial EMRs and patient electronic health records, and has proven that it can reduce the turn-around time of a dictated report or letter from weeks into hours.
New self-edit referral and consultation templates are being developed in M*Modal to support physicians to produce best practice letters directly through their EMRs. More information will be available here as M*Modal is deployed across the province.
