Deaths
You may be here because you recently lost a loved one. If so, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to you and your family from everyone here at eHealth Saskatchewan.

As this can be a difficult time for families, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to register the death of your loved one and order a death certificate. Information on how a death is registered can be found at Registering a Death.

It may take several weeks to receive the necessary documentation from the funeral director required to register a death.  Please note a death certificate cannot be issued until the death has been registered with our office.

Once a death is registered, a request for a death certificate can be processed. Information on how to order a death certificate can be found at Order a Death Certificate

**If the death has not yet been registered, additional time will be required before a death certificate can be processed.

Please note: There are third-party websites that offer services to obtain Saskatchewan vital event certificates i.e. death certificates for an additional cost.  Those websites are not associated with eHealth Saskatchewan and if you choose to use them we are unable to provide any information related to your order.  We recommend you apply directly through this website Order a Death Certificate to ensure your order is processed without delay or additional fees.
