Access your personal health information

There are several ways you can access your personal health information or health records, such as lab test results or medical imaging reports.

Register for MySaskHealthRecord to get quick and easy access to a secure website or mobile app that contains personal health information, including: 

• lab test results
• medical imaging reports
• clinical visit history

Electronic Health Record (eHR) Viewer

If the information you’re looking for isn't available in MySaskHealthRecord, or you don’t have an account, you can request copies of your personal health information stored in eHR Viewer.

The Electronic Health Record (eHR) Viewer is a secure, web-based system that allows your health care providers to see important health information about you. This may include:

• lab test results
• prescription information
• chronic disease information
• immunization history

Request copies of the information stored in eHR Viewer by completing the Request for access to personal health information form and submitting it to the eHealth Privacy Service.  

Under The Health Information Protection Act, the eHealth Privacy Service must respond to all access requests within 30 calendar days from the date the request is received.

The eHR Viewer contains selected health information from multiple health care providers, including hospitals, pharmacies, radiology clinics, and specialists. It is not a complete medical record.

To request a full record for a specific visit or treatment, contact the health care provider or organization that provided the care.

Some requests, such as insurance claims, must be handled by the original provider. The provincial record may be helpful if you only need specific documents or if a former health care provider cannot be located.
