Death details

Information on deaths in Saskatchewan, including the leading causes of death. Data for any given year is published only after 98% of deaths in that year have been categorized. 

About this report: 

• Any results with a count of 5 or less are redacted for privacy.
• These reports are created yearly and do not reflect live data.
• Report uses calendar year, not fiscal year.
• Hovering over an age group will show that group's death trend over time.
• Unlike the other vital statistics reports, this report will only show an additional year of data once less than 2% of all deaths in that year have been categorized. This is due to a delay in cause of death being provided by Statistics Canada, which results in a large amount of death causes being recorded as 'unknown'.
