EMRI notifications

Set up notifications in eHR Viewer before you receive them in your EMR. Set your preferences in the notifications section on the left side of the screen. Once notifications are set up, you’ll receive them for:

  • patients on your patient list
  • results and documents where you’re listed as the primary provider

Notification preferences

As the primary provider, you can choose to download results or documents automatically.

A non-listed provider can also download results or documents when needed.

Find out how to set up notification preferences in the eHR Viewer.

Turning off notifications

You can stop sending EMR data and receiving notifications at any time by updating your preferences in the EMR and eHR Viewer.

If a patient asks for information not to be shared with eHR Viewer, the clinician may flag individual chart items.

Where notifications are displayed

In Med Access, downloaded results or documents are displayed in the observations window directly in the task.

In Accuro, downloaded results or documents are displayed in the documents folder in the notifications window.

In eHR Viewer, notifications are displayed on the left side of the screen, under the notifications tab.

Notification types

Notifications available through EMRI include:

  • acute care admission or discharge
  • patient death

  • consults and referrals
  • patient profile updates
