EDRN
Electronic Death Registration Notification
The Electronic Death Registration and Notification (EDRN) website is a secure online system used to register deaths in Saskatchewan. It helps protect the accuracy of death information, supports timely completion of death records, and improves processing times for death certificates.
EDRN is managed by the eHealth Vital Statistics Office, which is responsible for collecting vital event information and issuing death certificates in Saskatchewan.
EDRN allows medical informants, funeral homes and coroners to:
- send all required information to eHealth to register a death in Saskatchewan
- search for a resident’s information to help fill out a Medical Certificate of Death
- transfer cases electronically to funeral homes and other authorized users
- update Medical Certificates of Death
- search past Medical Certificates of Death

Requesting EDRN access
To request access to EDRN:
- Complete the EDRN account request form (PDF)
- Email the completed form to the eHealth Service Desk at servicedesk@ehealthsask.ca.
Confirmation of your account will be emailed to you.
