​Update Information or Replace a Health Card

The information on yourhealth card needs tobe accurate and uptodate for health claims to be processed in a timely manner. Inaccurate health card information could result in the suspension of health benefits. 

You can update health card information or order replacement cards online through your Saskatchewan Account. Clicking the update online button below will direct you to the Saskatchewan Account login screen on saskatchewan.ca.

Ways to update your information:

  • Apply online – Apply for a replacement health card or update your information online. Click the green button above and follow the prompts to create or access your Saskatchewan Account and manage your health card requests.
  • Send by mail or courier – If unable to apply online, send a paper application. 
  • Visit in person – In Regina, apply for a health card at our front desk at 2130  11th Ave., Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (excluding holidays).

You are required to update your health card information if:
  • ​​You move
  • You have a child
  • You get married, divorced or have a relationship change
  • You change your name
  • Your health card is expired
  • You have updated immigration documents
  • You will be absent from Saskatchewan for an extended period
  • You return from an extended absence
  • You are appointed Power of Attorney for a Saskatchewan resident

If you require further assistance, select the situation that applies to you below:

  • I do not have a Saskatchewan Account
  • I have a Saskatchewan Account but have not added the health card service
    • Sign into your Saskatchewan account
    • Link the Health Card under "My Services"
  • I have a Saskatchewan Account and have added the health card service
    • ​Sign into your Saskatchewan Account and select the health card service
    • In "Tasks," select "Apply for a Health Card/Update your Health Card Information"
    • In the "Request Changes" section select "Next"
    • To start your request, select "Start New Change Request" 
  • I have submitted my online request and need to attach additional documents
    • Sign into your Saskatchewan account and select the health card service
    • In "Tasks," select "Apply for a Health Card/Update your Health Card Information"
    • In the "Request Changes" section select "Next"
    • To add additional documents to a pending online change request, select "View Status"
    • Select "Attach" and then choose the applicable files saved to your device
    • Once attached, select "Submit My documents"


"R" Display on Health Card

Effective March 1, 2022, the "R" display is no longer printed on health cards. This change is in recognition that there is no provincial requirement for this display. Residents with existing health cards with the "R" may request to have a new card issued without it.
